Further description of the zev race

Here I will update with more descriptions of each race how I see them visually.

Starting with the zev. The zev look like normal humans do, as they are the last remaining full link to ancient humans. Bipedal with two arms, , five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot; two ears and eyes, a normal shaped head, this is how all zev look like when born. From here on they choose their own physical manipulations. Most keep to default human form to preserve the concept of human form, some stray from the path and aim for surreal variants of the human form.

Modifications range from different grades of metal used for their frames. As they age, the more bodily modifications are needed. Some retrofit their brains into inanimate objects. Science has made life immortal because the brain is fully converted to an artificial one after a certain age. These brains are easy to come by and are composed of large amounts of special RAM, ranging in the exabytes of space. The rest is computing power with passive cooling with minor water cooling. These brains are stronger than ancient human organic brains and last much longer. The brains can be changed and rebuilt when there are hardware issues; this is because the memory is backed up to the net and the persons mind is never lost because it is saved on a home family server as well as other various servers owned by private companies. This ensures that if the body of a zev is destroyed that the mind is always kept intact. It is very hard to kill a zev wholly due to backups being constantly made.

Most physical forms of zev are based on climate. The zev world is heavily covered by the super structure. The structure is designed to self create and repair, as well as to leave very little room open for normal vegetations. The structure is so vast that there is no need to go “outside”, because there is no longer and atmosphere as there is a self-perpetuating one inside various geodomes spread around the structure. Real solar light is reflected from outside using giant mirrors, so zev can enjoy a natural world within their man-made environment. The structure has many unique zones , where certain zev with particular taste like to dwell. Most zev have simple apartments to sleep and are often not there but are out walking around or lounging in techno lounges. Zev are always connected to their intranet as their are net-relays everywhere. Most common business are shops, restaurants or lounges of various styles to cater to all possible tastes a zev could want. The zev world is very utopian.

The zev want to learn all there is to know, which is why they span the galaxy in their scout and war ships. They are ever cautious in case of a progenitor attack. The zev find new alien races all the time and do trade with them as well as learn all they can about them. Not often though do the zev find a race that is hostile. The zev tend to win because few races are as developed as they are, plus their numbers are far greater which gives a further upper hand. Many planets with unique climates are popular vacation spots for wealthy zev persons. Many artists venture off world to view amazing vista’s to create new works which they sell digitally on the net back home. Rarely are physical art works sold as they are expensive to create and move around.

That’s about it for the zev. They’re very much like humans nowadays, extrapolated upon with thousands of years of evolution applied to the mix. If anything I hope we become somethin akin to the zev.

New Menu’s, World Eater Campaign

you may notice i have changed the menu layout a little bit. i moved the minor races under playable races, and will change the name “Playable Races” to just “Races/Species”. next to the races menu tab is a new menu named Game Content which has information about the World Eaters campaign. On the Game Content page i will have links to the various bits of content within Exodium; Mini-Skirmishes, Head Hunting and Campaigns.

Mini Skirmishes are small battles between races. meant for fast combat and a quick way to gain some experience and exp.

Head Hunting is kind of like bounty hunting. Going after criminals or what not. sometimes on certain planets and towns it involves killing a beast that has been causing trouble.

Campaigns are long story arcs that are focused around a certain event and involves the player in one way or another. some are shorter than others but over all Campaigns will be long and involves all kinds of role playing and battles. Some campaigns may even decide the fate of an entire race!

The World Eaters campaign is the first campaign theme i have come up with. i’ll do my best to work on the beginning of it and detail it all the way through. but this will of course take some time so i may also complete some mini skirmishes and head hunting before hand.

Campaign Idea

writing this down quickly before i get, where better than on here?

i just had an idea for what could possibly be a decent campaign theme. there is a species/race that consumes worlds. yeah, its kind of been done before, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t cool. i think i could tie this in with one of the secondary races. the theme would be either you can let the secondary race live or die; or kill them both! i think there could be a lot of good combat situations and role play potential.

using John Varleys Gaea theme; i thought of doing my own rendition of the story. but since i have yet to read all 3 books, i don’t want to butcher his story so i decided to instead do it this way. players can scan galaxies and asteroid belts and what not to potential find these giant toroidal/spherical objects floating in space. these will act as mini-dungeons where players can defeat enemies and aquire loot. after players have gone through several of them, the following one, like the 6th one they do, will unveil a complex story line they can follow; essentially turning into a campaign on its own. but i think i could leave it up to the players if they wish to pursue the mystery of these floating treasure troves or not; meaning players can continue to raid more of the ones they find and not having.

ho boy, another random thought

The Helga worlds. controlled by the Ivixxi Tyrant Cqwuu. the Helga worlds are a string of worlds that are in the same solar system but have controlled orbits which allow them to never collide with one another. This string of planets controlled by the Ivixxi are called the helga worlds because of a HELGA class deep-space-probe that was sent out by the K’tchek.

that’s all i got for now.

How will Exodium play? you may be wondering.

The Galaxy that Exodium exists in is constantly moving. the actions of the players will effect everything. if you want to play as a Bohrdoon and assist the Overlord, whom controls the Megiddian, to control the entirety of the galaxy; you can do this. if you want to roll a Megiddian and fight against the Overlord, you can do this too. there are many factions and governments that have their own agenda’s and you can involve yourself in any of them. these saga quests will play out as you play through them, and they will change the whole game as you go through them.

as an example, you can roll a Bohrdoon and fight against the Zev. the Bohrdoon were first destroyed by the Zev and want to destroy them, so you can start the long quest chain that leads to the ultimate destruction of the Zev homeworld. This would then mean that the Zev are defeated in your game, save the random amounts of Zev people who may have escaped or exist elsewhere. does this mean no one can roll a Zev again? no, as the GM you play with can certainly come up with a unqiue way to introduce a new Zev character. this applies to all of the playable races.

the majority of the minor races are meant to have a large amount of content that revolves around them. you can fight against the Legion of Waal, and defend those whom are being attacked by is legion or even gather up a large force of people and try and destroy him completely. fighting against Kreesha , who has enslaved the Sigmure’phon race, is also possibly and creates a large epic dungeon that players can play through.

There will be several other random encounters and events through out the galaxy that players can spend a few hours doing. many worlds will have common fauna and flora that can be fought against. you can traverse into the lair of some monster and defeat it. you can roam through a forest and kill any animal or beast you encounter; gain exp and items to use or sell later. there are many uninhabited worlds with mysterious monsters and various ecology that you can fight against; gigantic beasts the size of skyscrapers.

When people play Exodium , a set of starting points for quests will be given so players know where they can go to start a quest. other than that, players can learn about all the planets and solar systems and various monsters and beasts and factions and so on; so if one doesn’t want to start a quest yet and simply wants to destroy stuff, you can roam out into a bog and fight against monsters and gain exp and progress your character

can different races play with each other? yes, and this obviously depends how much your group wants to role play. creating your characters identity is the first thing you want to figure out when you play Exodium. figuring out what you’re character is going to be and do is very important. when playing with a group of people, its best to figure out you want to do as a group; that will make the game go much smoother as you’ll all go on the same saga quests and do very similar things. if you want to branch off and do things in a solo manner you can do that if you want, it might make the GM’s job harder but it’s possible to do if you so wish.

i hope this helps a bit with explaining Exodium as a whole. if there’s something i may have left out…email me.

Character Sheet

i want the character sheets for players to be simple and easy to navigate and understand. so it will be organized in this way:

the front side of the page will have all the totals for everything: max hp, dice roll for weapon +attack mod, total evasion, total fortitude, total willpower, dmg% reduced based on total armor(will show total armor # and then the % reduced next to it. this also includes magic armor), speed, damage mod for melee/ranged/magic(this will show next to the dmg dice rolled for that weapon), critical rolls, Current Zeal/ Vim/ Adroit/ Cunning/ Acumen/ Essence/ Allure/ Cadence Attributes.

the front page will have spaces for character/player name, level, race, sex and class.

the front page will also have a small layout of gear currently equipped: armor/weapons/accessories. weapons will be in their own boxes with all of their related info; I.E. their attack rolls when using that weapon and damage rolls. (the layout where your current gear is shown may or may not be in there. it will if it fits)

the back of the page will have all of the formula’s for each total that is shown on the front page. players will fill these formula’s out with their relevant data, get a total # and then put that total on the front sheet. this makes it so everyone only needs 1 page for their characters.

this setup lets players not need several pages for their characters. a simple flip of their page is required to edit any total’s seen on the front page.

any skills the players use in combat and what not will be on a separate page the player can print off/make themselves, or use the primary core rulebook of which will have a detailed list of all the skills players can use in an easy to find format. this idea is still under debate and may not be the final version of exodium,

i’m happy to have found someone who can assist me with Exodium. hopefully he can give me some valuable insight and help carry part of the load :). thanks you very much.
